I also tried them in the Twitter blue as well, as it was obvious the Twitter logo looked different in the blue I used.
The regular Twitter colour didn't have enough tonal contrast against the black text, but the 50% tint worked a lot better. Given that this project needs to be produced cheaply, I'll be using this blue rather than the one from yesterday. It's also less garish and more relaxed.
Because of the varying heights of the speech bubbles, the whole upper section wasn't completely filled, so I repositioned them to be centred in the section to assess if this looked better aesthetically, which it does because of the addition of further whitespace at the top.
The text is placed well within the speech bubbles as this gives a larger room for error in alignment if they were too be screen printed. I found that using the blue text for the hashtags made them considerably lighter than the black text that sat next to it, so I used Avenir Black for those to make them stand out a bit more.
Another small change that was made was right aligning the text in the right speech bubbles, as this gives the page more balance. Following these changes, this is what the final posters look like as well as a quick mock-up of how they'd look on the bollard if it was printed cheaply on light newsprint.
